The debut cant come soon enough for The Dailys staffers, who for weeks have been engaged in full-scale dry runs, cranking out dummy issues for what Ive been told is a distribution list of 1,000 privileged readers. (If youre on the list and you want to email me a few screen grabs, Id take that ever so kindly.) Some of that content presumably consists of features that can be banked, but a lot of it is news, meaning its sell-by date will long have passed by the time The Daily goes live.
The company has still not revealed anything about the publication but they have put up a teaser site at thedaily.com with a "Coming Soon" message.
Apple is rumored to announce iTunes subscriptions at a media event in the near future. The Daily was thought to make its debut at this event.
