Yet another report is disputing that the iPad 2 will feature a higher resolution 2048x1536 screen.
"I think the Digitimes story probably got the resolution right, but the iPad version wrong," Mainelli told PCWorld via e-mail. "Our sources say Apple has requested that manufacturers begin work on displays with that resolution for the iPad 3."
"I don't believe anybody is ready to produce that resolution in volumes at this point. And Apple is going to require huge volumes for the iPad 2," he added.
Its rumored that Apple might announce the iPad 2 on February 9th.

i can't believe serious sites like this one and engadget are falling for it - c'mon - a 3mp screen?
regular computer don't use this res not to mention the waste of processing power the should be committed to run an OS on this res.
it was never possible apple are playing with ya

It's so called thing, called *Rumor*... No one knows what resolution it is in.
The device hasn't been released to the public yet.
These rumors are just thought about through apple's Sources.
