Supplies of nearly every model of MacBook Pro are constrained, pointing to an imminent update as early as this week, according to 9to5Mac.
Now we have received information that every MacBook Pro models stock is constrained at the moment, except the higher-end 13-inch model. We have also heard some chatter about February 9th (Wednesday) being the update day, but we cannot confirm this with any certainty.
Apple last updated the MacBook Pro on April 13th. The new models are expected to bring some of the MacBook Air features and the new Sandy Bridge CPU from Intel.
They probably hoped to make an announcement very soon about the refresh but because the Sandy Bridge processors are having some hardware issues they'll probably hold off for now. Intel should be able to fix this in a couple of weeks and Apple will make the announcement a little later that expected.
How could Apple bring the new SandyBridge while it has some manufacturing blemishes ?
I really would like to see the SandyBridge in the new macbooks and how will they perform
Nothing wrong with sandybrudge processors its the chipset thday controls the data sata ports that has issues ! And only some of them ports are affected.
