A new report pegs the release date for the new MacBook Pros as Thursday, February 24th.
Earlier this weekend MacTrust predicted that new devices would be feature a better battery, be lighter, have an improved display, offer a modular drive, and use Intel's new Sandy Bridge processor.
Today, iSpazio posted model numbers for the rumored notebooks.
Now MacRumor is saying, We've since heard reliable confirmation that this information is accurate and that the expected release date is next Thursday, February 24th. The move would be a bit unusual for Apple to launch new machines on a Thursday. So, if you are about to buy a new MacBook Pro, wait until next week.
No no no no no ... I ordered a customised 15" MacBook Pro (2.8GHz i7 processor) like 2 weeks ago; came with a double RAM promo, sniff sniff ... and NOW 'confirmed reports' of a new MacBook Pro 'to be announced on 24 Feb' !!! Just my sweet luck ;-(
I ended up doing the same with my mac and complained about the latest version just being released
I wanted the new one. Apple finally broke down and changed it for me
Don't even open the package when you get it and return it for the new one
That's great news.. Can i ask tho, how did u go about processing the complaint ? & about how long did it take for them to finally 'crack' and give in ?
Well, if they have not shipped it yet, call and cancel
If they shipped it, don't open it, call them to return it for a full refund
Some family thing came up. Wink wink
Then go out and buy the new one
Good luck
I bought mine at the apple store. And went back three of four times taking the lessons they give and finally talked to a manager that understood what I wanted and did the swap
For me. Then I was happy. 27" iMac with 8 gig ram icore 7 & 1 tb drive
