The iPhone Dev-Team has announced that they plan to release an unlock for the iPhone 4 that supports basebands until 04.10.01 (4.3b3).
Current i4 unlock goal includes til 04.10.01 (4.3b3). Very weird situation...vuln cmds are there, trying to invoke them!
Interestingly, MuscleNerd notes that they may have found unlocks for the 05.14 and 05.15 3G/3GS basebands while searching for the iPhone 4 unlock.
Ironically, the i4 unlock search has yielded 05.14 & 05.15 unlock 3G/3GS vectors... but i4 is 1st priority
The iPhone Dev-Team has previously stated that the unlock won't be released until after 4.3 is public. Apple could release the new firmware as part of its iPad event on March 2nd.

Thanks for the good news. Since I'm stuck (jailbroken & unlocked) on 4.0.1, I'm hoping this (exploit) would enable me upgrade my 3GS to 4.3, jailbreak & unlock once the whole deal is up for grabs.
the ? is when can all iphone user see this patch for unlock.. hmm let me guess it going to be release when i5 release. I hope dev-team got this messege. CAT and MOUSE game does dev-team realize it? I guess not.
Another hand does dev team really had it patched yet. Or they just having big mouth but they have nothing at all...
You guys don't get it, modem exploit is very hard to find and very easy to close by apple, unlike jailbreak finding carrier unlock is just a matter of luck so there is a good chance that after releasing this unlock there will be no other unlock ever again, to release it quickly is the stupidest thing to do as there is no more exploits.
