iOS 5 Produces More Evidence for a Retina Display iPad

Twitter images found in iOS 5 again suggest that Apple will be releasing a Retina Display iPad.

A TechUnwrapped reader was going through the new Twitter framework in iOS 5 and found 1,536 x 2,048 images that are exactly double the current resolution of the iPad.


As I was going through the iOS SDK I came across some images in the new Twitter .framework. The resolution appears to be 1,536 x 2,048.

Apparently the Twitter.framework is the only framework I found to have these enormous images.


Previously, images were found in iBooks that were also twice the resolution of the normal ones.

Retina display and more would be a nice update, my bet before iPad 3 is out there will be something like iPad 2+. The retina display feture would be part of it. Dr. Nir Hus MD., PhD.

That is not Retina Display. This is only 264 PPI, while the iPhone 4 screen is 326 PPI.
