It is rumored that Apple will release iPhone 2.1 firmware with some new hidden features on September 9th.
ArsTechnica was told that "there are other parts to 2.1 that were specifically removed from developer seeds in order to keep them secret from the world." These features would be in addition to the expected new GPS-related functionality (tracking speed and direction) as well as support for push notification services.
@iphonemaster
- Are you too poor for an iphone?
- Are you a Windows fanboy?
- Cant stand that something is better than you got?
If you answered yes on any of those questions, i understand ur statement.
I hope it fixes the Apple logo of death as I've had it 7 times in the past 3 days. Really annoyed as my backup is also corrupt somehow.
Please please please please let the surprise features be MMS, copy and pastr and SMS forwarding, how hard can it be to just hold the SMS and an option appears to forward it????? Cmon Apple, basic stuff please
I just hope that the new software addresses the issue of signal strength. My 2G phone came with 2.0 and I have read so many comments stating that when people "upgraded" from 1.x that signal strength was effected. I hope this update is not all about the 3G users as there are still ALOT of us who have and will keep their 2G phones for some time to come!
