Apple Releases iOS 5.1.1 for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch

Apple has released iOS 5.1.1 which brings several improvements including bug fixes for AirPlay playback, iPad network switching, HDR photos, bookmark syncing and more.

This update contains improvements and bug fixes, including:
• Improves reliability of using HDR option for photos taken using the Lock Screen shortcut
• Addresses bugs that could prevent the new iPad from switching between 2G and 3G networks
• Fixes bugs that affected AirPlay video playback in some circumstances
• Improved reliability for syncing Safari bookmarks and Reading List
• Fixes an issue where 'Unable to purchase' alert could be displayed after successful purchase

Hey.. I have iPhone4 unlocked with Sam on iOS 5.1 can any1 tell me if I update on new iOS 5.1 Sam will working till or not!!!

twitvid.com/DVT9Z - iPhone iOS 5.1. Maybe a bug, but I deleted some stuff on SAM and It booted normally. Without the need of booting tethered. Bad news is that Cydia and SAM wont open

Got SHSH-blobs saved for 5.1 AppleTV3 and 3GS just a minute ago so HURRY while its possible! Use Tiny Umbrella to save easily the blobs.

I have 4S 5.01 Jailbreaked but can't go to 5.1 hoping a jb is released!!!! Now we won't be able to install 5.1 because apple will stop signing it any time now.!! so if pod2g release the jb for 5.1 only new devices which came with 5.1 will be able to use it. I'm not updating my phone before a Jb is available.

Dude, just backup your SHSH using tiny umbrella and you CAN go to 5.1 anytime. Plus, I'd be surprised if the holes were closed in this release. Generally the X.x.x releases don't do much more than bug fixes it's the major X.x that are problematic (example, 5.1)

#Yeeap: thats not quite true. Presently you can only use the SHSHs on 3GS and i4 but not for the i4s/iPad2 & 3 (A5 & A5x processors). Do agree with your suggestion to backup the SHSH for future use if/when this option becomes available.

Are they still signing v5.1? I need to updated my iPad2 its on v4.3 which only a leaked JB was available. I hope I dont get stuck again:(

.............what? Dude you do know that you do NOT have to be on 5.1 to backup the SHSH for it right? Should ALWAYS run tiny umbrella after a new firmware is released and run it again when you hear a new one is coming out just in case.

Let's hope this update didn't fix any of the known exploits. So we can still use them on this iOS

No Need For This Update, then the jailbreak will take a while if updated :/
