Absinthe 2.0 Untethered Jailbreak of iOS 5.1.1 Gets Demonstrated [Video]

Posted May 21, 2012 at 1:37am by iClarified
Xvolks has posted a video demonstrating the iOS 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak using Absinthe 2.0.

I've tested Absinthe v2 on my iPhone 4 GSM, iOS 5.1.1. It jailbroke it flawlessly. I've took a (bad) video of it ;)

Pod2g has said the jailbreak will be released in a few days.

You can check out the video below and follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, or RSS to be notified of the jailbreak's release.

Same Question here! I second that... "... if we upgrade to 5.1.1 and jaillbreak-untheter it, is it still possible to remain unlock with SAM unlock activation ticket after jailbreaking? (by replacing the lockdownd folder)?" Coz i used the the SAM unlock ticket procedure to have my phone unlocked. Now I don't use Gevey Sim anymore, and I have no plans to get back using it again.

I believe Apple has "locked down" that OS weakness. I doubt you'll be able to use it again. You'll either have to stick with 5.0.1, or wait for someone to find another anti-lock vulnerability.

hi, yes we know apple fixed the SAM unlock hole already, but we are referring to the lucky ones (like me with other lucky people) who have unlocked when the bug is still rampant. we were advised to save our lockdownd folder for future unlock use. that's why now we are asking if we lucky ones can use this unlock ticket (lockdownd folder) to apply this procedure after jailbreaking-untheter of the 5.1.1 iOS. hope someone can confirm that this saved unlock tickets will be working after a fresh install of iOS and Baseband upgrade..

Ok now that absinthe will be available in a couple of days, the question is, if we upgrade to 5.1.1 and jaillbreak-untheter it, is it still possible to remain unlock with SAM unlock activation ticket after jailbreaking? (by replacing the lockdownd folder)?
