ClamCase has announced the ClamBook, a laptop powered by your iPhone or Android device.
ClamBook's slim and sleek aluminum design features a widescreen display, full-sized keyboard and multi-touch trackpad. Add style and functionality while transforming your Smartphone into the ultimate connected device.
ClamBook's WideScreen 16/9 aspect ratio fills your screen with your favorite movies without the annoying black bars. Surround yourself with ClamBook's 3D Cinema Sound as movies and games come to life.
With MHL technology, your smartphone charges while it's connected to ClamBook. Enjoy full length movies, edit documents, and browse the web without worrying about draining your battery.
ClamCase says the ClamBook will be available for holidays this year. CultofAndroid notes that due to iOS restrictions the trackpad will likely be useless and you'll still need to control all of your apps on the iPhone's touchscreen; thus, the device may be more useful for Android users.

Maybe so, Spaceman Spits, but until Apple can come up with a workable keyboard, people will be hungry for an alternative they can use. While the iPhone/iPad is useful, it really isn't a workable device if you have any real work to do.
