Originate, Inc., announced that it has publicly released the Pro version of Panolab, its most recent iPhone innovation.

PanoLab Pro, an iPhone application that lets users stitch together photos to make unique and artistic panoramic photographs, is now available on the Apple iTunes App Store and can be found under "Staff Favorites" for $4.99. A starter version of PanoLab is also available on iTunes for free, and offers the same intuitive, multi-touch interface.

Tom Brow, creator and lead engineer of PanoLab, has been pleased by the amount of positive feedback that has been received from the iPhone and Twitter community. "PanoLab is a simple tool that has been picked up by some very talented and creative photographers," commented Brow. "Those same photographers are helping us shape the next iterations of the tool right now. I'm excited about what Originate Labs and I are going to do with PanoLab, and even more excited to see what the rest of the world is going to do with it."

Recently, PanoLab passed the 200K download mark and is on pace to double that this month. PanoLab was also featured on Gizmodo.com's "Gizmodo's 20 Essential iPhone Apps", published Nov 14, 2008.

"This kind of innovation is what Originate Labs is all about," said Director of Business Development, Jeremy Miller. "We continually seek out the best and brightest minds to create an environment that promotes team work, as well as individual expression. This is a great success for Tom and everyone at Originate."

Some new features in the PanoLab Pro release include:
-- Export options: save panoramas in a wide range of aspect ratios and
resolutions, from 640x480 to 1920x1080
-- Exposure adjustment: adjust the exposure and white balance of
individual photos, or let PanoLab do it automatically
-- Reposition placed photos without deleting them
-- Advanced opacity management

"This is an exciting time in the mobile development space" said CEO Rob Meadows, "and we are going to continue to innovate and make our name known throughout the iPhone community. We currently have three additional mobile applications in development, with several others on the drawing board."
