Samsung has put up an advertising display on George Street in Sydney following wide spread coverage of an issue in Apple Maps that was getting motorists lost in Australia.
"While it might not be saying it directly, we're pretty darn confident that it's a bit of a dig at Apple's Maps misplacing Mildura and raising the ire of the Victorian police.", says CNET.

Seems like everyone missed the point of the Samsung ad. It was about a 3rd party turn by turn navigation system (Navigon) who have been making cross platform mapping worldwide for years. Not about Samsung maps.

Samsung sucks.. They market products on competitors failures not on the features of the product.. S3 and note are not worth for money... As soon as apple released iphone6, S3 price dropped 10% by Samsung ..

Take a look at the sign again it says Navigon lol. So Samsung is showing an app that's also available in iOS instead of showing google maps with direction. Total fail on Samsung's behalf.

Navigon is a 3rd party turn by turn mapping system that is available on many devices; Android, IOS, Windows Mobile, I used it on and acient Windows PPC, oh and they also nake stand alone GPS systems.... I think Samsung were simply saying get a reliable turn by turn system that works.

Maps (APPLE) - Samsung Ad --> NAVIGON. - December 12, 2012 at 9:37pm
The main difference between SAMSUNG AND APPLE regarding the GPS navigation software.
Apple has released its own app and we will talk again about it in 6month or so!
I bet the Apple one will be the best one out there: reliability, ergonomic, cost (FREE!!!)
Anyway...

Must be hard for Samsung to promote the Galaxy without taking cheap shots at Apple.

Applehater - December 12, 2012 at 8:46pm
You are right instead of taking cheap shots they should just sue everyone like apple.
