I have version 6.1 (10B143) on my iPhone and when I try to restore to the downloaded firmware (iPhone5,1_6.1.2_10B146_Restore) then it pops up a warning box that says; The iPhone ****** could not be restored becouse of none compatible firmware. Anyone here who can tell me what is the problem? Thanx.

ok well for those of you who might experience the same pain, i've been able to deactivate SAMpref and then remove the repo. what ever the name is .. and then could see the sky.. and restore the iphone on itunes.. and recover from a lovely backup.. It may work but it didn't on my iphone although it said it would.. ok i'll take my money back, it didn't work

I've started the process and restored my iphone.. but when i try to jailbreak it says the iphone needs to be activated, but i cant activate without the due sim, and i dnt have any, plus it's impossible for me to get one.. :S

I went through the jail breaking process and was able to get cydia on my iphone 4 and i had to activate a new micro sim but now my phone keeps saying no service. The only thing I was told that the process must not have unlocked my phone. Any ideas why this is?

unlocking your phone is another process, which you cant preform til your phone is jailbroken. look iclarified, should ve able to download it from cydia. your also going to have to load your carriers data (again doenloaded from cydia). after that you are all good, I had to do this on my 3gs to get tmobile from a at&t iphone.

So I went through the process to attempt to unlock the phone only to realize the firmware may not have the ability to unlock yet. My phone runs off the 4.12.02 anyone else able to unlock this version? Otherwise is there any easy way to downgrade the modem firmware? Thanks.

I also have the same problem. I wonder if it's possible to use the Redsn0w from the "tethered 6.0 jailbreak" to remove the baseband update from the firmware, install it on my iPhone without jailbreak, and then use evasi0n to jailbreak it.
