The Syrian Electronic Army has hacked the servers of popular messaging app Tango, compromising 1.5TB of user data including phone numbers, contacts and emails.
SEA tweeted the news saying, "Sorry @TangoMe, We needed your database too, thank you for it! http://tango.me #SEA #SyrianElectronicArmy"
The hackers apparently gained access through an outdated Wordpress CMS. Ehackingnews posted an admin panel screenshot provided by the hackers that shows a Wordpress version of 3.2.1.
Tango has confirmed the breach saying, "Tango experienced a cyber intrusion that resulted in unauthorized access to some data. We are working on increasing our security systems. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this breach may have caused our members."

SEA is actually a group led by NYC native Anthony Dannunzio. It was done to prove that the server security protocol is easily bypassed within any WP based 3CQ engine seeking flood database.
