Andrew Ambrosino has created a beautiful concept for Mac OS X that is inspired by iOS 7.
Ambrosino describes his concept by simply saying it "includes some good flatness, translucent blurs, and overall streamlining."
In the images below you can find a redesigned version of the Desktop, Messages app, and Login screen.

Kind of like windows 8 mobile running on a PC, if I were to download, I would use my mouse to unlock? I'd rather have the fingerprint scanner :3

Retina iPhone display, iPad Mini w/ Retina, Retina MacBook Pro: now let's make everything flat, so there is no detail to see. Yes! Like MS and Google! Who doesn't love flat?!?
I agree wholeheartedly with the earlier poster that mentioned how difficult it is to differentiate flat icons when you have more than two pages. I can't imagine what the artists are dealing with--"ok, it has to be blue, flat, and it should stand out from all the other flat, blue icons."
Best bet: unified system themes. Let the user decide what they want.

iOS 7 is flat but at least it uses great neon color textures and not one color with sharp edge squares and random sizes like other OS icons!

I wouldn't mind it as long as they still gave you access to the file system. I also agree, keep the menu bar... Steve Jobs would roll in his grave if Apple killed the menu bar

I do not think iOS 7 looks like the traditional Apple design.

This wouldn't happen like this because no developer is going to make their icons look good for OS X. Also, the menu bar is gone... used by 98% of applications.

Apple should concentrate on features and not just the themes.

Interestng. @ CaptainJapan: Have you tried using a non-reflective screen protector? Might improve your user experience.

Why should I use a projector? I shouldn't have to buy auxiliary equipment to improve my experience.
