Just as rumored, Apple has released an updated retina MacBook Pro for both 13-inch and 15-inch models with faster Intel Haswell processors and more RAM standard. The 13-inch now comes with 8GB RAM standard and the 15-inch comes with16GB RAM standard.
The 13-inch models now come with a 2.6GHz or 2.8GHz Intel i5 dual core processor with 8GB RAM (up from 2.4GHz and 2.6 GHz)
The 15-inch models match the leaked specs that we posted earlier. The first new 15-inch configurations comes with an Intel Core i7 2.2 GHz processor and 16GB of RAM starting at $1,999 (previously 2.0 GHz and 8GB RAM)
The second configuration features an Intel Core i7 2.5 GHz processor and 16GB of RAM starting at $2,499 (Previously 2.3 GHz for that configuration)
The entire new lineup now includes:
● 13-inch: 2.6GHz Dual Core Intel i5 with 8GB RAM, 128GB Flash Storage
● 13-inch: 2.6GHz Dual Core Intel i5 with 8GB RAM, 256GB Flash Storage
● 13-inch: 2.8GHz Dual Core Intel i5 with 8GB RAM, 512GB Flash Storage
● 15-inch: 2.2GHz Quad Core Intel i7 with 16GB RAM, 256GB Flash Storage
● 15-inch: 2.5GHz Quad Core Intel i7 with 16GB RAM, 512GB Flash Storage
Apple also cut it's non-retina 13-inch MacBook Pro by $100.
