Cowen & Co. analyst Timothy Arcuri predicts that Apple will equip the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 with a more powerful processor than the 4.7-inch iPhone 6, citing Asian supply chain sources.
AppleInsider notes that Apple has done this before with the iPad. The A7 processor on the iPad Air is clocked at 1.3 GHz; whereas, the A7 processor on the iPad mini with Retina is clocked at 1.29 GHz.
Arcuri also said that the processor in the 5.5-inch model could ship with a larger die, hinting at a more wide-ranging architectural split. A larger die might be a sign that the 5.5-inch model will feature additional on-die silicon, such as a larger array of graphics processing cores. Alternatively, it might suggest that Apple will make the two chips — believed to be the "A8" — in different fabrication plants using different processes.
The analyst also said that the iPhone 6 models could feature different touch modules.
Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 6 in mid-September; however, it's unclear if the company will debut both models at the same time. Some speculate the larger 5.5-inch iPhone 6 could launch later in the year.

At this point, Apple is restricting all the new features (better processor, focus-free camera, better camera resolution) for the larger iPhone 6, which postponing it's release until the new year. Expect to see record low iPhone 6 sales as everyone waits for the better phone. I can see their ad line "Buy the iPhone 6 now, because it's hardly different than the 5s but you're too impatient to wait for a better phone!".

I don't care. Processor speeds are overrated anyway. I'll just buy the 4.7"

Because that's what many want more than the 4.7".

Speak for yourself! Many of us do not want an iphone that is larger than 4.7". It defeats the purpose of having a cell phone. Think about it. If you want a tablet, buy a tablet. I, myself prefer a smart phone that fits into my pocket easily without a lot of bulk.

Not that I want one it's judging from surveys about who wanted the 4.7" or 5.5" the most but more thought is put in the 5.5" is what I am saying in general.

Could be the android fans voting up the 5.5 inch so no one buys it and then apple suffers a loss . lol

It's either one or the other, how can Apple suffer a loss anyway? Did you check the survey as mentioned? It says 5.5" iPhone 6 dyk?
