Digitimes is reporting that future Apple devices will feature a new laser cut '3D-like' Apple logo design.
Apple is also planning to upgrade the technologies used for printing its logo onto devices and will use laser cutting and unique embedded technologies to make the logo 3D-like and shine at the edges. All Apple's products will feature the new logo in 2015, starting with the next-generation iMac, the sources detailed.
The company is reportedly treating the logo upgrade plan 'carefully', as it ships a high volume of devices each year.
Interestingly, DigiTimes is still reporting that Apple plans to unveil a new 12-inch MacBook Air at its event on October 16th. DigiTimes claims that shipments of the device have begun in small volumes and that large volume shipments are scheduled for November. Reputable sources have already determined that this will not be the case; however, we wouldn't complain if the device makes a surprise appearance.
