Can someone help? My phone would not power up. It keeps trying but nothing happens. My phone is useless now!!

Do we need to uninstall any previous unlocks first? I used ultrasn0w on mine.

iClarified, what do you mean by 'Be sure to have a legit activated 3GS'. I think the whole point of George's unlock mechanism is to use my 3GS with any service provider, no?

The current release of purplesn0w requires your iPhone 3GS be activated via an official carrier.

This is for people, who has there phones in US activated with ATT, but when you go abroad, you can put in and use any sim card, from any carrier.

GeoHot works in a different way than the DevTeam, he released this tool because it works for some people, today he will release RC2 which has hacktivation also, so just wait :)
