I've tried numerous ccnoatt scripts on youtube, and this one WORKED! Mind you, you need to be minimally programming savvy, in order to create the actual ccnoatt form. You need to make sure the names of your fields are matching to the fields on the form process, and make sure your ccnoatt page goes to the form process script. Then, if your php compatible host is set up on the internet, you should have a working ccnoatt form. Thank you mr scottish man!

Dries, I have added http://ifoneguide.nl/111 to sources and tried 'Refresh'. Getting Refresh Failed error. Any advise? And where can I get Ziphone? Thanks,

Dries Cloet - February 21, 2008 at 7:55am
@jared: yes it has, just look in the all packages map, not under tweaks 1.1.1... I just looked and it is still there so add http://ifoneguide.nl/111 to your sources in the installer and press refresh!! otherwist it will not work, so don't forget to refresh! bye

So where can we download oktoprep or tweaks 1.1.1? the .nl website does not have oktoprep

Update to below, after activating part from 1.1.1, in installer install bsd substation, then community sources, the files needed below are then placed in installer again

TO ALL: THE hackthephone..... SOURCE NO LONGER HAS OKTOPREP OR ANY FILE RELATING TO THIS HACK AS APPARENTLY THIS HACK CONFLICTS WITH THE OTHER JAILBREAK. THE SITES OWNER HAS FALLEN OUT WITH NATE SAYING HIS METHODS WERE ILLEGAL AND HAS REMOVED HIM FROM HIS REPOSITORY. BUT... IF YOU ADD community sources that is how i got oktoprep and the 1.1.3 soft upgrade. PS appsnap DOES NOT include oktoprep you still need to do this manually. OTHER THAN THAT, UPGRADE THROUGH ITUNES TO 1.1.2 AND USE ZIPHONE 2.1 TO JAILBREAK, UNLOCK AND ACTIVATE THEN DO SOFT UPGRADE TO 1.1.3

Ziphone works great. Jailbroke and unlocked both my 1.1.2 otb 4.6 bootloader and my new 16gb 1.1.3 otb iphone!

just add http://ifoneguide.nl/111 to your sources list and oktoprep will be available in the all packages list! I think that the server of conceitedsoftware are down! but it will work just like before if you use the above source! greetz

ziphone, never heard of it. I will take a look. You do realise that oktoprep is no longer in the tweaks section? it is integrated in to installer 3.0, read my post. the jar jailbreak does not recognized the intergration and doesnt allow for jailbreaking. off to ziphone i guess...
keets28
keets28 - February 14, 2008 at 1:47am
tek why are you even trying this method. just do ziphone 2.0 much easier, you have to install oktoprep from tweaks.

tek - February 14, 2008 at 1:43am
OKTOPREP is included with the latest version of Installer (3.0) However, the 1.1.2 JAR file and the windows.bat method will NOT work because they do not detect that OKTOPREP has been installed... EVEN THOUGH the fix is installed!

@ http://jailbreakme.com/1.1.2/ says... Step 3: Prepare your 1.1.1 device for the Update This is already done for you with the new version of AppSnapp! Proceed to step 4! But, running jailbreak on updated 1.1.2 throws "This utility can only be used if you have already run OktoPrep before updating to 1.1.2." Also, after 1.1.1 jailbreak using http://jailbreakme.com didn't show Tweaks1.1.1(OktoPrep) to install. Any other 1.1.2-jailbreak.zip is available to use. any help is really appreciated. Dreamz

Mystery Solved!!! ...for my iphone (OTB 1.1.2, 4.6BL, itunes 7.6), my phone stayed in recovery mode even after the in the final step the pop box told me my jailbreak was successful. To fix it, I did the following: - i plugged the phone back into my Macbook - as soon as iTunes started up, I closed it down - I ran independence again -as soon as the reboot (apple logo) appeared on the iphone, I unplugged it from the MacBook Voila, I'm up and running on 1.1.2, installed my Stealthsim (I'm in Canada), and all's right with the world. :) Good luck!!!!

Hey Neal, I had the same problem. The issue was that there was s point in time where iclarified removed the OKTOPREP step when you upgrade to 1.1.2 because apparently the new installer was suppose to do it automatically. Just start over and make sure to add in the OKTO PREP. should work fine after that.

G, Thanks for your comment. I can't speak for Tobby, but I am definitely following the tutorial to the letter (as I did before I was having iphone problems), and I am still getting similar error messages now. Assuming we are following the tutorial correctly, there is some problem out there that we are not aware of .... any ideas, anyone? Cheers, Ronathon

Tobby: like keets said: You need to calm down and do everything from the beginning, like in the tutorial, just remember about installing OktoPrep FOR 1.1.1 and only BEFORE upgrade to 1.1.2. After you install OktoPrep... WOAH. stop. i can see it in tutorial now :) Thx to the authors. Tobby: please i truly believe if you just proceed with the tutorial, you will be ok :) Jesse: "At the end of the restore you will get Error 1015. This is okay. Simply click the Ok button." But for example i had error 1006 or something in some point of fight with iPhone, sorry, dont remember which step, just wanted to say that running ituneshelper.exe again (or killing it) helps sometimes. Its located in somewhere in Program Files/iTunes/ Still got few 1.1.2 OTB to unlock so i will try to write again if i come across anything unusual, not mentioned in tutorial.

Another twist....on my previous attempts, I've tried this method entirely on a windows PC. I've also tried the process with my MacBook Pro (iTunes 7.6, Independence, Jailbreaker 1.1.2) Everything works great....except when I get to the end of the final jailbreak process, it launches iTunes recovery mode and the iphone screen reverts to the original itunes connect screen (EVEN THOUGH jailbreak confirms that it was successful!!!) My iphone did reboot, but as I said it went back to the itunes connect screen. Soooo close, and yet so far....
