They lost me because 7 and so were great versions of windows I had ever used, but ignoring 8 like it didn't exist, speed was decent but it had security flaws and I only stayed with it because my parents took care of security, but after 8, I couldn't be any more pissed off when trying to get used to it for a year it's still scrambled shit. After OS X release, it helped draw the line of making Microsoft less focused. Now I have a macbook and I never looked back. If I wanted a device to work like surface, I'd get a keyboard for my iPad, but why do that when I have both now? Long story short, Microsoft needs more than windows 7 like looks and security to win me back but I doubt it.

'Microsoft says, "Rest easy, your new Surface and iPhone will go great together."' This sums it all up. They are worried about how perfect windows platforms are, so they chose iphone, yet how can it go 'together' when you have Mac that allows handoff with ios?

Good luck making it happen now, it would've been that better if it hadn't been for 8, yet I doubt people will switch from the "best laptop ever made".

This is a very very good question. They have lost touch with reality. It's like asking me to switch from my Ferrari to a Volkswagen, and to get even more stupid, suggest that my Ferrari mag wheels go well with the Volkswagen.

Microsoft going back to their roots and copying Apple. Maybe they'll make a decent OS that way. A MacBook Pro will beat a Surface any day.

I tried out the surface pro 3 didn't like it but I'm seriously thinking about going back to windows after 6 years on MacBook pros notebooks

Are you kidding, MacBooks make windows obselete. They put more thought in OS X than windows. I used both to the full potential, and OS X really cares, if I wanted windows though, I'd pick and forever stay with 7 or xp and run them on my Mac.

They say its portable but can you use it on a bus or train it will fall off your knees also the people who see it as a tablet will not pay that price
