17000$ for a gold watch (sic). They are providing an 18 carat gold watch for a whooping amount. Who the hell will buy these watches for these exorbitant prices. We can give credit to apple for these lovely looking watches and for some these may look gay. But common what the fish are these prices.

i have to admit, these videos are amazing. but what they are showing isn't so far off from the manufacturing of even just the basic watches you see today. it's just that apple know how to make a nice video. these are not hand crafted watches. they are mass produced and made fast. and aluminum is a shitty watch material. it's a soft metal. it's super easy to manufacturer because of that. it doesn't eat up the tooling as fast. there is no reason for aluminum but for cost cutting. if a phone can be made cheaply with steel it would have been.

I don't see a problem with aluminum. Maybe this time it's been processed to be better handling when damaged, but for a metal watch, this is probably one of apples ways to make it cost effective to suite anyone's need for watches like this. The straps can though make it look more like a basic watch. There appears to be classic looking ones.
