How to Add the Beautiful New Apple TV Screen Savers to Your Mac

These are instructions on how to add the new Apple TV screen savers to your Mac. The Apple TV 4 features day and night screen savers of China, Hawaii, London, New York City, and San Francisco.

Step One
Download the latest version of Aerial by John Coates from GitHub. Make sure to get at least version 1.2 beta 4 in order to cache the screen savers offline.

Step Two
Double click the downloaded zip to extract it.

Hold down Control and Click the Aerial.saver file to bring up its contextual menu. Choose Open.

If asked to confirm, click Open again.

Step Three
System Preferences will open and ask if you would like to install the screen saver for just the current user or all users. Make your selection and click the Install button.

Step Four
You'll now be directed to the Screen Saver tab under Desktop & Screen Saver. Select Aerial from the list of available screen savers.

Step Five
Click the Screen Saver Options... button to adjust Aerial's settings.

I think it's because it gets the Aerial footage from a server, because it's not download directly onto your Mac
