iMac, Mac Mini Shortages Suggest Updates Are Near

Apple has issued an advisory noting that further orders for many of its existing desktop SKUs would go unhonored, according to AppleInsider.

Stores have been told not to expect restock on those models. These remarks were made in regards to all four retail configurations of the iMac line as well as the low-end $599 Mac mini.

Additionally, AppleInsider has received separate confirmation that the low-end Mac mini SKU has indeed been discontinued.


In recent days there have been rumors of both an update to Apple's desktop offerings as well as an update to the MacBook.

These shortages likely indicate that the updates will be coming in the very near future.
