Donald Trump Owns Millions in Apple Stock

Despite calling for a boycott on Apple and calling for the company to build its products in America, Trump owns millions in Apple stock, reports CNET.

According to a personal financial report he submitted to the U.S. government earlier this week, Trump apparently owns between $1.1 million and $2.25 million worth of AAPL. He also owns smaller stakes in Alphabet, Amazon, and other tech companies.

During Apple's battle with the FBI over unlocking an iPhone 5c used by one of the San Bernardino shooters, Trump suggested people should boycott the company.

"First of all, Apple ought to give the security for that phone," he said. "What I think you ought to do is boycott Apple until such time as they give that security number. How do you like that? I just thought of that."

Apple argued that unlocking the iPhone would require the company build a backdoor into its devices creating a dangerous precedent and a risk to the security of millions.

Despite Trump's call for a boycott, his Twitter account has been communicating from both iOS and Android devices over the last 24 hours.

If Trump purchased the stocks after his boycott statement thats one thing....but if he purchased the stock years ago, why is this being discussed? Just saying.....

Dude... who the heck is "pandering to radical muslim islamists"? Taxing "other countries for their exports" is called tariffs, and there are international agreements that regulate such things. The Congressional Budget Office, which is respected by both parties as neutral and non-partisan, has stated that his proposed tax plan would NOT "lower taxes for working class". And as to making "the country more secure", that cannot be achieved by alienating all of our allies. Look, you can agree or disagree with someone's politics, but you must understand that he's just the same as ALL other politicians... he's just saying stuff that YOU happen to like, that doesn't mean that it's true.
