Photos have leaked onto Weibo claiming to reveal Apple's new Lightning EarPods.
Apple is widely rumored to be dropping the headphone jack on its next generation iPhone and moving to the Lightning port for audio accessories.
The photos below show the usual white Apple EarPods with a Lightning connector at the end of the cable. The casing around the connector is substantially thicker than the casing found in Apple's current cables; however, some have theorized that the company is embedding a DAC and amp into the cable.

Obviously a fake, but still a nice indicator about how ugly things can get (don't forget: the HiFi digital to analog converter has to go somewhere). Anyway: no headphone jack no buy!
Did you read the last paragraph of the article? There might be a reason why it's thinker. Everyone said the the original EarPods were fake when they first popped up in pictures. You might be right but don't jump to conclusions because something doesn't look right or Apple like.
I like these thank goodness I never bought those piece of shit beats headphones those are fit home products. Looks like Apple will dump the 3.5 jack and I could careless about the 3.5.
For the most part I use an LG Bluetooth headset with my phone to listen to podcasts. But this may pose a problem for my 2.1 speaker system when I wanna play music at home; it's only input being a 3.5 mm jack.
Im not defending, I only say use bluetooth headphones its better, if you have money for iphone you have for good quality headphones too. Or you buy samsung and $2 3.5 mm headphones
Dude, I did bother replying because its not worth it and not because I can't. :)
Your logic of if you can afford iPhone then you can afford bluetooth headphones is messed up. Let me tell you this. A good excellent sounding pair of bluetooth headphones cost a lot. Yes there are cheap ones on amazon for even 19.99 but I would not even touch them. I bought a pair Jaybird Freedom F5 recently for 199 and they are awesome, yes. They sound amazing, so comfortable. But you know what battery runs out after 5 hours and as someone who travels a lot, it would be inconvenient to me. You get my point? See now with a 3.5 mm connector I dont have to worry about that now do I?
Now to the real question, 199 for a bluetooth headphones is not cheap and apple doesnt have a right to dictate me to use bluetooth or some other way I dont like it. Yes, I have an alternative to move to Samsung, HTC or some other manufacturer, which probably I might. But again that's not giving consumer what he wants. You do understand the whole point of discussion right?
