Samsung has officially announced that it is halting sales and exchanges of the exploding Galaxy Note 7. The announcement comes after a recall which did little to stop the smartphone from catching fire.
As reports of replacement devices catching fire began adding up, AT&T and T-Mobile stopped sales of the phone.
We are working with relevant regulatory bodies to investigate the recently reported cases involving the Galaxy Note7. Because consumers’ safety remains our top priority, Samsung will ask all carrier and retail partners globally to stop sales and exchanges of the Galaxy Note7 while the investigation is taking place.
We remain committed to working diligently with appropriate regulatory authorities to take all necessary steps to resolve the situation. Consumers with either an original Galaxy Note7 or replacement Galaxy Note7 device should power down and stop using the device and take advantage of the remedies available.

Samsung fans cannot comprehend. Why their android favourite is exploding. Coincidently the Google Pixel is released so closely. But really, the iPhone 7 trumps all.

Hope Samsung will enjoy the new 'rep' the #BoomGate drama gave them with the added 'new low on sales' this will bring. However they needed this valuable lesson to take matters seriously to ensure this won't happen again. Apple seeing a boost on sales, mode [ON].

Samsung galaxy s7 edge was the top seller this year... And booom! Galaxy note 7 took the sales away.. The sales were so high before the note 7.. Now everything is messed up.. I pity Samsung.. Plus Apple won the case against the slide to unlock lawsuit.. Ouch
