WikiLeaks Reveals Tim Cook Was Potential Vice President Candidate for Hillary Clinton

A new email leaked by WikiLeaks reveals that Apple CEO Tim Cook was named a potential vice president candidate for Hillary Clinton.

Campaign chairman John Podesta put together the list of candidates:


"Cheryl, Robby, Jake, Huma, Jennifer and I also did a first cut of people to consider for VP. I have organized names in rough food groups."

Cook is named alongside other tech and business figures including: Mary Barra, Michael Bloomberg, Ursula Burns, Bill Gates, Melinda Gates, Muhtar Kent, Judith Rodin, and Howard Schultz.

Another leaked email from Lindsay Roitman revealed that Tim Cook requested a 1:1 meeting to discuss the matter.

Tim's office requested a 1:1 meeting today, which was a nice way of saying "no staff". I think this is one we should proceed cautiously. He's supportive but new to this so I think we shouldn't come on too strong. Steph, thanks for circling back, see you tomorrow night.
