Check out these iPhone 8 renders based on recently leaked schematics.

On Wednesday, well known leaker Sonny Dickson posted a schematic that shown a metal iPhone back with an opening for the Touch ID fingerprint sensor placed below the Apple logo.

Instagram user bro.king turned that schematic into a 3D model.

Built this model around the schematics that "leaked" about the #iphone8 only to find out that it's probably fake as I hope so because in my opinion ts not the prettiest thing, looks like an altered #iphone7 interior and the exterior to look similar to the #iPhone5

The schematic is believed to represent one possible solution to Apple's difficulties in integrating the Touch ID sensor under the iPhone 8 glass. Hopefully, it's not one that Apple resorts to!

Illuminated Apple Logo? Might be cool if they did it right. And, if there were several settings options, for instance: various color choices (and of course an option for always off). Nerds would pee their pants when Cook displays the first photos of it at the Apple Event.

Wow. I do NOT want a (bigger) iPhone 5! Vertical camera array: OK, (better). Looks like an iPhone 5: Hell NO. Personally don't care if Touch ID goes on the back (only if absolutely necessary to make it work given a full glass/screen front), if the Touch ID blends in well on the back. For instance, they could make it identical in color to the back so that it is barely noticeable, and make it flush with some kind of very minimal tactile rim so that it is very easy to locate by touch.

OK maybe I'll get bashed by some however if apple does have to put Touch ID on the back why not just make the apple logo the Touch ID?!

Apple knows perfectly there's too much at a stake, they wouldn't dare risking it. If time is what they need, then fine! They better sort this out until it matches the highest quality standards.

Well, people were breaking the fingerprint scanner by fixing their screen, so this would be a benefit

Its sad if this is really the best they can come up with. This is ridiculous, they are going back and forth with the design , rounded->sharp->rounded->sharp. And we get the same design three years in a row (6,6s,7) and now we are getting even older design... iPhone 5. I hope this is some stupid proto

uh, the iPhone 5/S/SE was the last design I liked, though, so I don't mind if they stick to it. 6&7 are ugly in my opinion. However, TouchID on the back? Really?? that's so so samsungish and googlish: I wouldn't want that. And then it's missing the headphone jack as well. Thus: There is no reason to buy it!
