Hulu has dropped the price of its ad-supported streaming video service by $2/month while increasing the price of its Live TV service by $5/month and its Live TV + Hulu (No Ads) by $7/month.

Today, we’re announcing updates to our pricing options (that will go into effect next month*) to allow current and new subscribers to choose the best Hulu experience for them.

Here's a look at the new pricing:

● Hulu (with ads): $5.99/month (previously $7.99)
● Hulu (no ads): $11.99/month (same)
● Hulu + Live TV: $44.99/month (previously $39.99)
● Hulu (no ads) + Live TV: $50.99/month (previously $43.99)
● Enhanced Cloud DVR: $9.99/month (previously $14.99)
● Unlimited Screens: $9.99/month (previously $14.99)
● Enhanced Cloud DVR + Unlimited Screens: $14.98/month (previously $20.00)

Note that Hulu has discounted its Enhanced Cloud DVR and Unlimited Screens add-ons; however, if you're on Hulu (no ads) + Live TV, those discounts still won't make up for the price increase.

Hulu’s new pricing will go into effect beginning February 26 for new subscribers. Existing subscribers will see these changes reflected in their subsequent billing cycle after February 26. These changes follow a substantial price increase announced by Netflix last week.
