How to Reduce Loud Sounds on Your iPhone [Video]

These are instructions on how to reduce loud sounds on your iPhone when using headphones.

You may want to do this if you have sensitive ears or want to prevent damage to your hearing.




Step One
Tap to select Settings from your Springboard then choose Sounds & Haptics from the Settings menu.



Step Two
Tap Reduce Loud Sounds then toggle the Reduce Loud Sounds switch to the ON position.


Drag the slider to set your preferred maximum decibel level. There are six options available:
● 75 decibels: As loud as a vacuum cleaner
● 80 decibels: As loud as a noisy restaurant
● 85 decibels: As loud as heavy city traffic
● 90 decibels: As loud as a motorcycle
● 95 decibels: As loud as a car horn
● 100 decibels: As loud as an ambulance siren
