Sony has unveiled four new portable Bluetooth speakers for the summer including three new X-Series speakers and a new SRS-XB13.

Life should be lived at full volume – whether that's dancing in the living room or hosting a lively picnic. All of the new speakers are specially designed to provide a powerful and wide-spreading sound to complement any genre of music. With LIVE SOUND mode, users can even enjoy music like it's live and recreate the unique atmosphere of their favorite musical moments.

The XB13 is a tough and durable speaker, making it the perfect adventure companion. The speaker's IP67 rating1 means it's waterproof and dustproof and a UV coating provides extra durability in the elements, so it can be enjoyed at the pool, park or on a long hike. It has up to 16 hours of battery life with a convenient battery indicator shown on the user's smartphone to display how much charge is left.

In addition to a durable exterior, the XB13 speaker has a multiway strap that can be easily attached to a backpack or wrist. It can even be suspended upside down to create a waterfall sound effect for a more immersive listening experience.

Don't be fooled by the XB13's compact size; with EXTRA BASS and a Sound Diffusion Processor, this little speaker packs plenty of punch. Additionally, the Sound Diffusion Processor expands sound in any space with its DSP technology. If users want even bigger sound, they can connect two XB13 speakers wirelessly for stereo sound that reaches even further.

Need to make a call? Whether it's at home or out and about, the XB13's built-in mic enables easy hands-free calling. The XB13 also features the latest Bluetooth technology, which removes the need for wired connections and complex set-up sequences. The XP700, XP500 and XG500 all feature Sony's innovative X-Balanced Speaker Units. The non-circular diaphragm gives more sound pressure with less distortion by maximizing the area of the speaker to offer a richer, clearer sound.

● Sound
The XP700 has three front High-efficiency Tweeters and one rear High-efficiency Tweeter, delivering Omnidirectional Party Sound with punchy bass. The XP500 and XG500 have two front High-efficiency Tweeters that combine to offer Powerful Party Sound. Plus, the XG500 features passive radiators that are optimized to reproduce clear bass sound for the ultimate listening experience. All three speakers also feature MEGA BASS.

● Water Resistance
The XG500 features an IP66 water resistance and dustproof rating so customers can use it by the pool, for a picnic at the park or for a relaxing day at the beach. The XG500 is made with durable water-repellent mesh that keeps the speaker dry. Additionally, the XP700 and XP500 have an IPX44 water resistance rating, to keep the music going even if a few raindrops fall.

● Battery
SRS-XG500 lasts up to 30 hours when MEGA BASS is on, Vol.19, and lighting is OFF. SRS-XP700 lasts up to 25 hours when MEGA BASS is on, Vol.13, and lighting is OFF and the SRS-XP500 lasts up to 20 hours when MEGA BASS is on, Vol.16, and lighting is OFF. 10 minutes of charge gives you 3 hours of playback on the XG500 and XP700, and 80 minutes on the XP500.
