Google to Make Pixel Spare Parts Available to Purchase at iFixit

Google has announced that it will make genuine Pixel spare parts available to purchase at iFixit later this year.

We want you to have a great experience with your Pixel phone, and that includes easy access to high-quality and safe device repair if your phone is ever damaged. That’s why we’re working with iFixit to make it easier for independent repair professionals and skilled consumers with the relevant technical experience to access the genuine Google parts they need to repair Pixel phones.


Pixel 2 through Pixel 6 Pro parts will be available to users in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and EU countries where Pixel is available.

The full range of spare parts for common Pixel phone repairs — things like batteries, replacement displays, cameras and more — will be available either individually or in iFixit Fix Kits, which include tools like screwdriver bits and spudgers.

This follows Apple's announcement of a 'Self Service Repair' program which will provide customers access to genuine parts and tools.

Available first for the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 lineups, and soon to be followed by Mac computers featuring M1 chips, Self Service Repair will be available early this year in the US and expand to additional countries throughout 2022. You can learn more about that program here:
