iPhone 14 Rumored to Come in Purple, Get Updated Flash

Unverified rumors claim Apple is planning to introduce a new purple color and an updated flash for the upcoming iPhone 14. The rumors surfaced in a post on Weibo which has now been deleted.

According to the post, a close examination of the iPhone 14 flash will reveal a single small circle surrounded by a larger circle. That differs from the current flash that has two small circles within a larger circle.

Describing the new purple color, the Weibo user claimed it would appear purple in dark light and lavender in bright light.




Finally, the poster estimated the new iPhone 14 would arrive in 4 months and 29 days (151 days) from April 16. That would be Wednesday, September 14, 2022. Apple typically releases its new smartphones in September and we expect the same this year.

More substantial reports have suggested the iPhone 14 Pro will get an A16 processor, a 'pill + hole' cutout design, a 48MP wide camera, a larger camera bump, an autofocus selfie camera, and rounder corners. The iPhone 14 is expected to keep the A15 processor and current notch.
