Does spirit still work to jailbreak 3.1.3 (05.12.01) 3G iphone.

HIya, wanna thank the iclarified community for this brilliant jailbreak I succesfully jailbreaked my iphone 3g in a virtual machine enviroment of XP sp2. First i downloaded the ipsw of 3.1.3 from the apple site and did a restore in itunes 9. it first did a restart of my iphone, then it stopped cause my own pc outside the virtual machine recognized it. After that did a second attempt in the VMware enviroment it worked. My iphone3g is an activated and unlocked one. Did the spirit jailbreak in about 10 seconds. Installed appsync in cydia and transferred every app back from itunes. Thank you once again everyone!

I have 3Gs 3.1.2 and its stuck at the Apple logo i have to restore it.. i jailbreaked it with blackra1n when it come... is it possible for me to unlock my phone again ? how should I do to restore my phone and have an unlock.. my shsh didnt work because I saved them to late... :/... like how do i upgrade to 3.1.3 without upgrading my baseband.. any one have any link to repli to me or something PLZZZ.. thx..

Spirit did jailbroke and restart and I checked there were Cydia installed. But, as I quit Spirit, my iPhone frozen with Spirit insatallation background. Now I am left with an unuseable iPhone

After the battery run dry, I turned on my iphone while wall charged. It started normally and I checked it has already jail broken with Cydia installed. I then continue to unlock with Ultrasn0w succesfully. Many thanks to both Spirit and Ultrasn0w creators and iClarified for providing guidance. I suggest for Spirit user to disconect your iPhone after it restarts when jail breaking completed, BEFORE you quit Spirit.

Was your jailbreak successful. Were you using iTunes 9.2? The instructions says that it only work for iTunes 9 til 9.1.1

Did not work for me despite following all steps. Looks like it needs a valid SIM inside the phone for Spirit to work

To follow these instructions you must be using an activated device not stuck on the Connect to iTunes or Emergency Call screen.

My iPhone 3GS Firmware 3.1.3, baseband 05.12.01 was jailbreak with spirit and wokr perfectly, should I upgrade to iOS 4?. Thanks for your help...

this fixes the error code you get with vista and 7 how dl.exe crashes If you get an Ordinal Error 2760 "libeay32.dll" error when executing Spirit.exe then do the following: 1. rename or delete the "libay32.dll" file in c:\windows\system32 directory. 2. copy the "libeay32.dll" file from the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support to the c:\windows\system32 directory This is an iTunes error not a Spirit error Jailbreak works great Found this on another site ;) now jailbroken

absolutely incredible...i honestly think that was the simplest jailbreak I have ever seen! Only thing I'm worried about...has anyone reported battery issues? I am already on my 3rd 3GS because of battery issues after jailbreaking...think it would be kinda weird going back in and saying...got another dead battery! What's wrong with your products?! Hey.. I did the JB with Spirit. I have the Iphone 3GS with 3.1.3 firmware. The cydia is installed fine, but I can't install any app from my PC to my Iphone, even though I am using Appsync but Itunes doesn't put the apps on the Iphone. What should I do??? Please someone help!

Any idea, I run Spirit Jailbreak, everything is OK until Iphone restart automatically, the spirit jailbreak loading screen is not load until finish, it's only loading half, and then it goes to Iphone Lock Screen, so I think the loading screen is not completed. Thank You

i want your opinion please. im using an iphone 3g on a custom 3.1.2 and 04.26.08. i use PC with version 8 itunes and i need the unlock so im using ultrasn0w. My MMS doesn't work and my bluetooth doesn't work. now should i stay on 3.1.2? upgrade? benefits or non? or is there no need for that now? i want to start clean again so whatever is the best way please share! thank you

TURN OFF PSWD BEFORE PATCHING!!! OMG F'd a colleague's iphone 3GS 16GB 3.1.3. I JB 3 other phones w/ this PC NP. This one had a pswd set! After the phone JB'd successfully, the iphone's asking for a password but HER OLD pswd no longer works!!! Can i somehow back this off the phone without a factory reset? I put her password in and last time I did, it made me wait 15 mins! Any other good ideas on how to figure out the new password???

OMG- coworker gave me the WRONG PASSWORD! So I still recommend getting rid of the password before using spirit. AND AFTER using spirit, go into cydia and install openSSH (change default pswd) and load afc2dd so you can transfer files using iPhoneBrowser/iFunBox/DiskAid

Hi, I purchased iphone 3gs in a local site. After 3 months orange had barred my calls. when i called customer care, i came to know that the person who sold the mobile was claimed it as lost mobile and they blocked my iphone. F/W 3.1.3 Modem F/W 05.12.1 Jailbreak worked on the first time no issues at all. then used the method bellow to install cracked apps Download this great patch: App_Patch_For_OS3.0_3.0.1_3.1_3.1.2_3.1.3_by_Rizwan.zip (1.9 MB) Mirror 2 (MU) (Credit goes to Mr. Rizwan for this patch) and extract it. Step 2 Connect your iPhone to your PC. Step 3 * For OS 3.0 or 3.0.1: run the “Patch_App.bat” file * For OS 3.1 or 3.1.2 or 3.1.3: run the “Patch_App31.bat” file and then reboot your iPhone manually. Your phone will restart one more time automatically. (it will restart when still on apple logo) That’s it. you are done. Don’t forget to drop some lines on how it went for you. I have 3gs with 32GB. Current firmware is 3.0.1. I got this from Australia. It was unlocked without Jailbreaking. If i update to current firmware will it be remain unlocked ? Or should i use Jailbreak to do so? Current firmware is draining the battery very fast. Please can some help me here.

Go ahead and update software to 3.1.3, the phone will remain unlocked if it is factory unlocked. Then you can jailbreak it.

Hello all, If you have difficulty jailbreaking your device with Spirit and are receiving the error 1 please use a different cable and or different USB slot. I kept receiving the error code 1 and was about to give up when I tried a different cable as a last resort and voila it works! So change the cable or switch to a different USB slot.

Please help!! I've jailbroken my iPhone using Blackra1n. My version was at 3.1.2 (7D11) with firmware 05.11.07. Accidentally I hit on the Spirit JB, and currently stuck in a reboot loop when I try to restart my phone back using Blackra1n. How can I resolve this issue?

It looks like your iphone frozen it happen to me too the way to fix this is first you must have itunes the news i believe 9.something then you must have the 3.0.3 ipsw file the version 3.0.3 open itunes conect the iphone press and hold power buttom and home buttom for around 15 seconds then the itunes should be able to read the iphone and be able to install the ipsw file let me know how it goes.... and if you know any info asfar as unlocking my iphone after a jailbreak it let me know am trying to use my telcel sim card i already unlock it i think but i install my telcel sim card but it doesnt find the newtwork what am i doing wrong am a little lost... thanks and good luck
