Apple's new Beats Powerbeats Pro 2 wireless earbuds have been spotted at the FCC ahead of their anticipated launch.
The company has been teasing the earbuds since September 2024; however, it has yet to officially unveil them or announce a release date beyond "2025."
iOS 18 code references suggest that the Powerbeats Pro 2 will feature heart rate monitoring during workouts and include support for Active Noise Cancellation, Spatial Audio, and Adaptive Audio.
New FCC listings for the left earbud (A3157), right earbud (A3158), and case (A3160) were published yesterday. Apple initially submitted the device for authorization on December 18, 2024. The accompanying graphics provide a closer look at the design teased last year, with the most notable feature being the over-ear hook, which makes Powerbeats Pro a favorite among athletes.
Since the original Powerbeats Pro earbuds were discontinued by Apple in October 2024, it's likely the company will release the Powerbeats Pro 2 in the near future. Please download the iClarified app or follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and RSS for updates.
