Apple Teases New Powerbeats Pro 2 Coming in 2025 [Video]

Apple has revealed plans to launch new Powerbeats Pro 2 wireless earphones in 2025.

The company shared news of the new model today in a video posted to its Beats by Dre account on X. The caption simply reads, "Built for Shohei Ohtani."


Shohei Ohtani is a Japanese professional baseball pitcher and designated hitter for the Los Angeles Dodgers of Major League Baseball. Nicknamed "Shotime", he has previously played in MLB for the Los Angeles Angels and the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters of Nippon Professional Baseball.

The video teaser shows Ohtani taking a swing with a baseball bat while wearing Powerbeats Pro 2 wireless earphones. Notably, the new model keeps the earhooks that makes them popular with customers that require a secure fit.
