A short hands-on video of what is said to be Apple's new clear case for the iPhone 17 has surfaced online, offering another look at the accessory's updated design ahead of the phone's expected debut next month.
The video was shared by leaker Sonny Dickson and, while brief, appears to show a case with a large, horizontal camera cutout consistent with the design seen in numerous leaked dummy units of the iPhone 17 Pro. Other recent reports have offered more specific details about the clear case, suggesting the new version will feature a partially transparent body that covers the glass and MagSafe portions of the phone's back—a departure from previous fully transparent designs.
The case is said to retain full MagSafe compatibility but with a refined layout that avoids the open circles seen on many third-party options. It reportedly accommodates the new Camera Control button and is designed to work with Apple's new crossbody strap. Images of other cases have also revealed two holes along the bottom edge to support the accessory.
This new clear case is expected to be part of a refreshed accessory lineup that will replace Apple's short-lived FineWoven material with a new synthetic fabric, possibly branded as 'TechWoven.' The new accessories will likely debut alongside the iPhone 17 at Apple's "Awe dropping" special event on September 9.
