Apple has seeded the Release Candidate for macOS Tahoe 26.3 to developers, signaling that the software is nearing its public launch. The build number for this update is 25D122.
This release follows the third beta seeded late last month. While the accompanying iOS 26.3 update introduces functional changes like a native Android migration tool, the macOS update appears largely focused on under-the-hood improvements. Apple's notes indicate that the software provides important bug fixes and security updates rather than major new user features.
The update arrives alongside Release Candidates for the rest of Apple's ecosystem, including iOS, watchOS, and visionOS. It also follows the release of Xcode 26.3, which enables developers to integrate third-party AI agents directly into their coding workflow on the Mac.
Developers can download the macOS restore image from the Apple Developer Center. It is also available over-the-air via System Settings > General > Software Update by selecting the macOS Tahoe Developer Beta option.
