Apple has rolled out a new firmware update for its latest wireless earbuds, releasing version 8B39 for the AirPods Pro 3, AirPods Pro 2, and AirPods 4.



Apple's release notes for the update are brief, citing only standard bug fixes and other improvements. This software arrives just days after the broader public rollout of iOS 26.4 and macOS Tahoe 26.4, ensuring the audio hardware continues operating smoothly alongside Apple's newest operating systems.


The firmware installs automatically in the background when the earbuds are placed in their charging case and remain within Bluetooth range of a connected iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
