Fish Sandwich Media has announced the release and immediate availability of Lost Pacifier HD 1.0 for iPad, an update to their best-selling board game for iPhone OS. Baby MJ has lost his most favorite thing in the world, his Pacifier, and needs help. Players try to recover the missing pacifiers through a series of games and tests, including: Hide & Seek, Question & Answer, and Match. There are five levels of difficulty, and outrageous, high-resolution graphics specially designed for the iPad version.
The splash screen introduces Baby MJ, a toddler in very cool shades, surrounded by pacifiers (his thing), on an op art background. The first level of play begins with a full screen, portrait mode graphic, containing a number of pacifiers hidden within a collage of op, pop, line, and cartoon art subjects. With a limited palette of colors and detailed art, finding the hidden pacifiers is quite a challenge. A digital timer counts down 30 seconds and a display indicates the number of pacifiers remaining to be found.
Having passed the pacifier test, the player moves on to the multiple-choice quiz. The quiz poses a question related to the previous test. Answering correctly takes the player to the final matching test, inspired by the classic card game Concentration. An array of 20 squares appears, each with an identical design. Suddenly, they all flip over for 2 seconds, revealing a drawing of an object on each square card. The 75-second timer starts counting down, and the user taps a card to flip it over and then tries to find the matching card. There are 10 different pairs to match, requiring fast reflexes and a good memory.
Feature Highlights: * Light-hearted, casual, challenging game * Mind-blowing graphics and art * Three games in one: Hide and Seek, Question & Answer, and Matching * 5 levels of play with 3 games each * Quick Play mode for a fast game of Concentration anytime * Find the pacifier hidden in the graphic * Pay attention or Baby MJ will start crying * HD version features new graphics, more difficult questions, additional features
Moving past the first level of Lost Pacifier towards level five, time limits shrink, the pacifiers are harder to find, and the matches are more difficult. Failing any of the three tests offers the user the option of repeating it or returning to the Main Menu. The synth jazz soundtrack can be toggled on or off, and there is a Quick Play option which takes the player directly to the Concentration quizzes, offered in easy medium or hard. Lost Pacifier HD 1.0 was featured in Apple's NEW and NOTEWORTHY! and What's HOT!!
