Gevey Unlock Works With iPhone 4 on iOS 4.3, Baseband 04.10.01 [Video]

The Gevey SIM Interposer works to unlock the iPhone 4 on iOS 4.3 with Baseband 04.10.01, according to a video posted on YouTube by trungkienhvt.

We've already posted on the Gevey SIM Interposer which can unlock the iPhone up to iOS 4.3 by force activating the baseband using the emergency dialer. Previously another video showed baseband 02.10.04 being unlocked; however, this new footage shows the unlock being performed with the latest 04.10.01 baseband.

The SIM Interposer works by adding a EEPROM chip to your SIM card just like a TurboSIM. You then call 112, a number that can be called from any GSM phone, free of charge, with or without a SIM card on any compliant network. Once the call connects you hang up then toggle Airport mode on and off. When the network connection resumes you will be unlocked.

This method of unlocking is not recommended due to the legality of dialing 112 in certain countries.

Interesting if this card would work with barred iphone. All sites claims same message, that nothing happens with barred phone and they do not answer questions related with barred phones. But how is it for real?

Yeah, did a mistake, did not check info about phone before buying. But this one is barred in uk only, not in us or else in the world. So it should work outside uk using gevey.
