According to Engadget, there is a current iTunes Store outage which prevents some users from downloading apps, movies, music, podcasts, and all other content. Engadget has confirmed the error on iTunes 10.2.1 and 10.2.2.12 and weren't able to get past the home page.
On iOS devices, after clicking the download button on the app's page, it appears on the home screen briefly, then disappears.
No word from Apple on this issue, but certainly they are working on a fix. Let us know in the comments if you are experiencing issues with iTunes

That's happened to me too!. I'm living in France. But I solved it by changing my account information (credit card). & now it's working... I hope it's not a hack.

I was trying to install apps between 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM MDT and it keeps on abandoning ( I live in Denver). Tried to reach the customer service and for more than 20 minute I was on hold. No indication on Apple customer service site.

I've also been having the same problem... I tried downloading some apps today and they'd start to download and then randomly stop. Hope this issue gets solved soon.. Or that Apple is doing something awesome which made it go down =D

Can't download updates for app store purchases on 10.6.6 mac mini or on IPhone, seems to have been down since 19:45 in the UK.
