Apple will reportedly release new MacBook Airs and announce its yearly Back to School promotion on Wednesday, according to ChronicWire.
LEAK: Apple Store displays will be updated Tuesday night for the Back To School promo, starting Wednesday, alongside the new MacBook Airs.
Apple's Back to School promo has been anticipated for some time now. The promotion was announced on May 25th in 2010, May 29th in 2009, and June 3rd in 2008. All three of these dates were Tuesdays. Reports suggest Apple will bundle a free iPod touch or possibly a $200 iPad discount with the purchase of a Mac.
A refresh to the MacBook Air is expected to bring Sandy Bridge and Thunderbolt and has previously been pegged for June/July. Reports of constrained supplies have also surfaced.
ChronicWire (Chronic and Sonny) have been quite accurate with discoveries in the past and recently discovered Nuance integration in iOS 5.
