Apple Complies With Seven Day App Return Policy in Taiwan

Apple has reportedly complied with a seven day return policy in Taiwan for applications downloaded from the App Store. Google has not.

The IndiaTimes reports that Taipei found Google and Apple in violation of their consumer protection law that requires a seven day trial period for Internet purchases. On June8th the two companies we ordered to alter their rules to allow for the trial period.

"Google refused to change its rules," Betty Chen, the head of a consumer protection at the city government, said. Apple changed its rules.

Taipei has since fined Google Tw$1,000,000 ($34,600) and Google has suspended sales of paid apps to the country.
