Steve Jobs wanted to make an easy to use, integrated television set, and told Walter Isaacson that, 'I finally cracked it', reports the Washington Post.

Currently, the company sells a device called the Apple TV which interfaces with iTunes to play your media content. Analysts have long predicted that the company will launch a full television set, and it appears that they may be right.

"He very much wanted to do for television sets what he had done for computers, music players, and phones: make them simple and elegant," Isaacson wrote in his upcoming biography.

"'I'd like to create an integrated television set that is completely easy to use,' he told me. 'It would be seamlessly synced with all of your devices and with iCloud.' No longer would users have to fiddle with complex remotes for DVD players and cable channels. 'It will have the simplest user interface you could imagine. I finally cracked it.'"

It's estimated that Steve Jobs may have left Apple with up to four years of products in the pipeline. The iPhone 5 is thought to be the last product completely overseen by Jobs.
