Apple is reportedly planning to expand AirPlay wireless devices by promoting iPod Accessory Protocol (IAP) via Bluetooth, according to a Macotakara report.

Apple had a conference "MFI Technology Summit 2011 Shenzen, China" for 2,000 member of MFI Program at Sheraton Shenzen Futian Hotel in 7-9th December. Apple seems to tell their MFI Program in detail.

At this conference, Apple told that spreading speed of iOS is explosive, but MFI Program licenced products are not so. Therefore Apple will provide new certification chip to make MFI devices to access iOS devices via AirPlay, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

Bluetooth 4.0+HS on the iPhone 4S allows for low-energy interfacing with small battery operated devices. Apple hopes to increase the AirPlay wireless device market by 7 times via expansion to Bluetooth.
