Apple's invitation to the unveiling of its next generation iPhone appears to reveal that it will indeed be called the 'iPhone 5'.
Looking at the image below we can clearly see a '5' as the shadow of the number twelve.

It is still highly doubtful that Apple would call the next iPhone 'iPhone 5'. It's more likely the 5 means an unveiling of five products including the new iPhone. Calling 5 still make no sense considering it is the 6th gen iPhone. I'm still betting it will be referred to as The New iPhone minus the '5' designation.

I agree. I see the five in the shadow so I think maybe I've been wrong this whole time, which is just fine by me because who really cares. But to my knowledge Apple has only named the iPhone 4 as it did because it was the 4th iPhone. The iPhone 3g was a reference to the datatype it uses. The iphone 5 just makes no sense. The new iphone will be the 4th new body design and the 6th actual iPhone. It sort of fits numerically based on how they have been named in the past but only if you don't consider why they were named that way to begin with so there really is no rational reason to call it iPhone 5. Whatever it is, I'll buy it. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

All thats needed now is a list of things that this new phone will do? Then we can post a list of all the stuff that dont work? When we get it. Im waiting 6 months plus before i even think of getting another iphone what every they call it. Fed up with being told it just works, when it dont.
