Apple is stubborn that they don't want to be called "copy cat" so they made the iphone 5 longer but not wider and the iPad mini 7.9". They said that they didn't want to make the iphone 5 wider so we still feel comfortable using 1 hand. And yet, the iPad mini is way wider than galaxy tab, kindle,... that if you have small hands, you have to stretch your hand if you want to hold in 1 hand AND it doesn't fit in my jean pocket while most of the other tablets in the same "mini" category do fit in my jean pocket! Will the next iPhone will be just longer but still the same width and the next iPad mini will be between 8" and 8.8"?

If Apple will keep the same size, people will talk shit about Apple. If they increase the size, people still talk shit! I think the best way for Apple is they will make different sizes, as well as different color for different type of people so we all can shut up. If a car make put a GPS in a new model and another car maker a GPS in their new model the following year, do we call that a copy cat?

yes same as "round corners". and let's not forget how many features symbian phones have. In ios7 cupertino copied one of them - call blocking but there are still many more to copy. Upcoming years will be very difficult for cupertino copycats.

Its quite hypocritical and shitty for that second car maker to want gps after talking shit about gps and the car maker that already has it. Its also quite petty and ludricrous to sue them for having a "round" cup holder because they hold a ridiculous patent... apple also said that they would never make a smaller ipad and yet they still sell one.

these are marketing lies to fend off people from buying cheap nokia asha and larger android phones designed for regular size hands. There will be no cheap iphone ever because cupertino profit margin does not allow to sell cheap and regarding phones for larger hands cupertino has no technology, no patents to design larger phone. If you want smartphone actually usefull you should get android phone anyway
