A new report suggests that Orange and Apple are nearing completion of a deal that will subsidize MacBooks with mobile broadband.

According to MobileToday, details are being finalized ahead of the availability of the MacBook on Orange this summer.

The operator has tested the laptops with its mobile broadband dongles and is understood to have made a volume commitment with Apple.

Another possibility is that this deal is actually for the rumored netbook or tablet Apple is said to be releasing this summer.
